Grey Cup to make an appearance in Minnedosa

The Grey Cup will be be making an appearance in southwestern 水果视频 in October.The historic Canadian Football League championship trophy will soon be travelling the country, visiting more than 100 communities, beginning Friday, Sept. 7 as part of the Grey Cup 100 Train Tour presented by RONA.

On Oct. 3, the Cup -- aboard a specially retrofitted train -- will stop in Minnedosa.The train will include a car showcasing the Grey Cup, a special museum car and a team car that will celebrate the special place today's CFL teams have in their communities.Fans can have their photo taken with the Grey Cup and can immediately share their pride via social media with family, friends and fellow fans."The historic Grey Cup trophy truly belongs to every Canadian," said CFL Commissioner Mark Cohon in a release. "And we are proud to be taking it from coast to coast to coast, bringing it to as many Canadians as possible."The trophy will be transported by road to other cities and towns not directly accessible by rail, visiting schools, hospitals and community centres.The Grey Cup 100 Train Tour will be stopping in all eight CFL cities - Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Regina, Winnipeg, Hamilton, Toronto and Montreal -- as well as Ottawa, the national capital and site of so much Canadian football history, Quebec City, Moncton and Halifax.
