Rivers Collegiate Institute (RCI) principal Mike Klassen has remarked via the school鈥檚 newsletter, The Rambler, that although there has been a slight increase in student enrolment in recent years, the increase soared this year with 33 in Grade 7 and 28 in Grade 8. As a result, there has been a need for more teacher time. This extra time will be focused on English and math; Brenda Sokoloski was coaxed out of her two-month retirement to fill this position.

Grade 9 students will take part in Take Your Kid to Work Day on Wednesday, Nov. 4. Students will be given the opportunity to earn up to eight high school credits while possibly earning money and gaining valuable experience in a variety of trades.
