Seasonal favourites available at Library

December has arrived and even though it doesn鈥檛 appear to be winter when we look out the windows, we鈥檙e quickly reminded everywhere we go that Christmas celebrations are well underway. We have a good selection of seasonal children鈥檚 books, adult fiction, recipe and craft books as well as a few seasonal favourite DVDs for lending. They鈥檒l be available until early January before we pack them away again for next year.

December also means that Storytime is over for the year. It wouldn鈥檛 be as fun or as successful without the participation of our volunteers who do such a terrific job of reading to the young ones, and we thank Wendy and our readers from the Rotary Club once again.

The Neepawa Natives Pen-pal Club will be meeting one more time this month and there鈥檚 still room at the table for anyone who would like to join in. Give us a call at the library for more information.

This is also a time of mixed emotions at the library because long-time staff member Loraleigh Epp will be leaving us for a new adventure. The Epp family has been lured away to British Columbia and although we are sad to see them go, we also wish Loraleigh, Jason and their family all the best in the next chapter of their lives.

Best of the upcoming season from all of us at the library and the library board, and remember that when it gets hectic out there, it鈥檚 always calmer when you have a book in your hands!
