Westman Communications Group has just completed the second phase of a fibre network upgrade for Neepawa. The second phase involved doing node splits. A node split essentially doubles the amount of bandwidth available for each house.
The additional bandwidth available to each home in Neepawa will accommodate faster internet speeds, the increase of internet traffic and the expansion of high definition video offerings.
鈥淭hese node splits are extremely well timed as we are having a tremendous response by the residents of Neepawa to our new internet speeds. Our existing customers enjoy their faster internet speeds that were implemented in early October at no additional cost. At the same time, we have welcomed new customers who like our lower prices and higher speeds versus the internet offerings from our competitor,鈥 said John Quail, chief marketing officer of Westman Communications.
The node splits are part of the second phase of an 18 month program with Westman spending $4 Million proactively upgrading network infrastructure in eight communities in Western 水果视频. 鈥淭he upgrade program enables us to offer even higher speeds in the future as our members鈥 needs continue to evolve, especially for streaming high definition video,鈥 said Quail.
