Quilts bring comfort

Since 2000, Victoria鈥檚 Quilts Canada has been distributing handmade quilts to provide physical and spiritual comfort to cancer patients and survivors. Local resident William (Bill) Mabon (centre) recently received a quilt from Victoria鈥檚 Quilts Canada Neepawa chapter members Marg VanBuskirk (left) and Audrey Heffell (right). Mabon鈥檚 wife Maggie says that the quilt is a perfect size and is soft and lightweight. 鈥淲e wanted to express our appreciation to Victoria鈥檚 Quilts and each and every person who had a hand in sewing the quilt,鈥� said Maggie, continuing, 鈥淚t鈥檚 such a blessing, it reassures us that there are a lot of kind and loving people in the world.鈥� Neepawa is the only 水果视频 branch of the national charity and last year, they made over 78 quilts.
