'If someone has Chase, please bring him home'

At 5 p.m. on March 24, just shy of 48 hours after Chase Martens went missing from his family鈥檚 yard, the two-year-old鈥檚 parents issued a public plea. Father Thomas and mother Destiny were visibly distraught speaking to the assembled media. Thomas Martens choked back tears as he urged anyone with information to contact the police, 鈥淚f someone has our son, please bring him home. We won鈥檛 be angry, we鈥檒l be forgiving and grateful.鈥�
Martens explained that it was unlike his son to wander, adding that wherever he went, he always had dogs with him. 鈥淲e are looking for answers, for any information that can bring him home,鈥� Thomas said.
As searchers finish a second full day of combing the area around the family鈥檚 home in search of the boy, Thomas thanked the community for its support. 鈥淲e are overwhelmed with the support,鈥� he said.
As the search prepares to enter its third night, Thomas said, 鈥淸The family] is praying every moment that Chase is safe.鈥�
