RCMP say that the rumour of a recent stabbing in Neepawa is just that, a rumour. Many people within the community have recently been discussing an alleged incident on Tuesday, Apr. 19 near Neepawa Area Collegiate Institute.
The story being circulated throughout the town of Neepawa suggests that one individual was stabbed in the altercation and that several police cruisers and an emergency services vehicle were called to the scene.
Spruce Plains RCMP Acting Staff Sgt. Mark Morehouse said this rumour is not true. He noted that police were contacted and were on the scene but that there was no evidence on any incident occuring or of anyone being injured.
