Neepawa Belles, Beaux & Builders 4-H

The Neepawa Belles, Beaux & Builders 4-H Club wrapped up the year with our Achievement on May 2.  It was held at Neepawa Collegiate in the Multi-purpose lunch room at 6:15 pm.  Family, friends and members of the public were welcome to come and see the array of projects our members have worked on this year.

Neepawa was host to another 4-H event, the South Parkland Area 4-H Council  Zone 1 Communications Competition on March 6, 2016.  Forty members from Neepawa and area participated in this event. 

The results of the Zone 1 Communications were as follows:

•Cloverbud Public Speaking:  sponsored by Kulbacki Seeds, First Regan Teichroeb – Neepawa Beef; Second Makenna Sumner – Neepawa Silver Spurs; Third Jessica Wright – Rapid City Rodeo.  

•Cloverbud One Person Visual:  sponsored by Beautiful Plains Credit Union, First Allison Beaumont – Neepawa Belles, Beaux & Builders;  Second Sveinna Bjarnarson – Neepawa Beef; Third Wyatt Njegovan – Neepawa Belles, Beaux & Builders.  

•Junior Public Speaking:  sponsored by Greenbush Angus, First Trent Tomoniko - Neepawa Belles, Beaux & Builders;  Second Madisyn Robertson – Neepawa Beef;  Third Madison Teichroeb – Neepawa Beef.  

•Junior One Person Visual:  sponsored by Beautiful Plains Credit Union, First Elliot MacDonald – Minnedosa Multi-Purpose; Second Carson Baker – Neepawa Beef;  Third Claire Beaumont – Neepawa Belles, Beaux & Builders.  

•Intermediate Public Speaking: sponsored by Neepawa-Gladstone Co-op, First Claire Tomoniko - Neepawa Belles, Beaux & Builders; Second Rayna Topham – Minnedosa 4-H 4 Teens; Third Tess Murray – Neepawa Silver Spurs.  

•Intermediate One Person Visual: sponsored by Neepawa-Gladstone Co-op, First  Broddi Bjarnarson – Neepawa Beef; Second Eden Pearson – Erickson Beef; Third  Lauren McKee – Rapid City Rodeo. 

•Senior Public Speaking: sponsored by Al Lytle Memorial Fund (Fenwick Trophy and scholarship) First Dylan Oshanyk – Neepawa Beef;  Second Daisy McKee – Rapid City Rodeo; Third Kelsey Ellis – Neepawa Silver Spurs.

•Adult Public Speaking: sponsored by Farm Credit Corporation, First Charlee McLaughlin-Ventnor – Rapid City Rodeo.

These members were invited to give their presentations at the South Parkland Area Communications Competition in Hamiota on March 11.  South Parkland Area stretches from Neepawa all the way west to Russell. There were 38 members participating in this event. First place in each category (except Cloverbuds) were given the opportunity to present at the provincial level in April in Portage la Prairie.  

The results of the area public speaking competition were as follows:

•Cloverbud Public Speaking: First Regan Teichroeb – Neepawa Beef; Second Makenna Sumner – Neepawa Silver Spurs.

•Cloverbud One Person Visual: First Allison Beaumont – Neepawa Belles, Beaux & Builders; Second Sveinna Bjarnarson – Neepawa Beef. 

•Junior Public Speaking: First Madison Teichroeb - Neepawa Beef; Second Madisyn Robertson – Neepawa Beef.  

•Junior One Person Visual: First Carson Baker – Neepawa Beef; Second Elliot MacDonald – Minnedosa Multi-Purpose.   

•Intermediate Public Speaking: First Rayna Topham – Minnedosa 4-H 4 Teens; Second Emma Aboud-McConnell – Decker Country Riders.

•Intermediate One Person Visual: First Lauren McKee – Rapid City Rodeo; Second Broddi Bjarnarson – Neepawa Beef.

•Senior Public Speaking: First Dylan Oshanyk – Neepawa Beef; Second Marika Dewar-Norosky – Newdale 4-H.

•Senior Two Person Visual: First Michaela Kryshewski – Strathclair 4-H'ers and Nicole Lennox – Newdale 4-H.

•Adult Public Speaking:  First Charlee McLaughlin-Ventnor – Rapid City Rodeo.
