Town Council has approved the installation of a new sidewalk at the Neepawa Cemetery. The Town received two formal bids on this project, which will feature an intricate design that wraps around the site鈥檚 new columbarium. J.C. Lavish Construction had the low bid at $25,000. That bid amount was approved and a timeline for the work to begin is currently being explored

Truck purchase

Neepawa town council has approved the purchase of a 2013 International Terrastar all-purpose vehicle for $53,000. While this vehicle is used, having already accumulated 214,000 kilometres, it does have fewer kilometres than the truck it will replace. It is also still under the manufacturer鈥檚 warranty. The existing truck bed from the outgoing vehicle will be swapped out with the new model to save on the cost of retrofitting.

Recycling depot

Neepawa鈥檚 recycling collection depot is accepting additional recyclables. The depot, which is located at 124 Gill Drive, is accepting pre-sorted paper, plastic, glass, tin and aluminum. At this time, the location remains unable to accept cardboard.

Neepawa joins Justice Committee

Neepawa has gained membership to the Provincial-Municipal Justice Advisory Committee. The committee is aligned with the Association of 水果视频 Municipalities and has been tasked with providing action for the resolution of a broad range of public safety issues encountered by municipalities.
