If you want to hear motorists 鈥渂low up,鈥 ask them about the condition of Highway No. 4 between Neepawa and the Arden ridge. What with holes and corduroy, it is described as a real 鈥済izzard shaker鈥. Coming off the good stretch between Gladstone and the ridge, it is the more noticeable. Whether or not the government intends to put this section in good shape this season is not known. What should be done and what is going to be done are two different things.

The town has agreed to give a grant to the Neepawa and District Disabled Persons Association to help erase part of the deficit accumulated in the Handy Van鈥檚 operations. The Disabled Persons Association  had written to Neepawa council as well as to the councils of the rural municipalities of Langford, Rosedale and Lansdowne asking for assistance in getting rid of the van鈥檚 deficit of about $9,000. The town agreed to make a one time grant, even though they had no assurances the other municipalities would do the same thing. 鈥淲e have to show good faith the others are going to come through,鈥 said councillor Bob Durston.
