Gary Oman retires after 45 years

Describing his working life as, 鈥淎 pretty long and satisfying career,鈥� Gary Oman summed up his 45 year stint at Mazergroup in Neepawa in the parts department. Actually, Oman, who retired at the end of March, started his working life at Minnedosa Implements with Fred Bayes. 鈥淲hen George and Bob (Fred鈥檚 sons) came into the business, the name changed to Bayes Equipment and in 1995 it was bought out by the Mazergroup,鈥� said Oman. In 2009, Oman鈥檚 son Doug came alongside as an assistant. In 2014, they switched roles as Doug became parts manager and Gary assisted. Staff and customers celebrated Gary鈥檚 retirement with a big cake on March 29 and a come and go reception at the dealership located at the west end of Neepawa.
