2:12 p.m. No new COVID-19 cases in Ë®¹ûÊÓƵ
Public health officials advise no new cases of COVID-19 have been identified as of 9:30 a.m. today. The total number of lab-confirmed positive and probable positive cases in Ë®¹ûÊÓƵ is 290.
The data also shows:
• one individual is currently hospitalized, with none in intensive care;
• 26 active cases and 257 individuals who have recovered from COVID-19; and
• the number of deaths due to COVID-19 remains at seven.
As of yesterday, an additional 379 laboratory tests were performed. This brings the total number of tests performed since early February to 35,578.
Ë®¹ûÊÓƵns experiencing flu or cold-like symptoms no longer require a referral from Health Links–Info Santé or their family physician before heading to a community site for COVID-19 testing. Anyone with symptoms is still encouraged to use the online screening tool to determine whether they meet the necessary criteria to be tested.
A new community testing site in Winnipeg opened this morning at Thunderbird House, 715 Main St. The site is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. This is Winnipeg’s fifth community testing site and Ë®¹ûÊÓƵ’s 17th location.
