Although wheelchair accessibility is important, accessibility for people experiencing visual impairment is equally important. The thought of not having the ability to drive to the Co-op grocery store, watch the Neepawa Natives hockey game, or see the face of a loved one is not in the forefront of our minds on a daily basis.

Foundations raise $890,000+ in 24 hours

Thanks to the generosity of 水果视频ns, community foundations across our province raised an incredible $893,448.89 during this year鈥檚 24-Hour Giving Challenge, once again demonstrating why we鈥檙e the most generous province in Canada. During the 24-Hour Giving Challenge, The Winnipeg Foundation (TWF) stretched each $5 gift made to community foundations with $1 (to a maximum of $2,000 per foundation).

Tragedy strikes, show your support

On Saturday, Dec. 2 the life of Bryce Waldon was snatched from this earth. The 33-year-old was born, raised and educated on a farm near Rapid City. As of early morning Wednesday, Dec. 13 there were 75 posts on Brockie Donovan鈥檚 tribute page made for his family. Several of those mentioned his big smile and kind heart, a compassionate man and the go-to guy for assistance on any project. What makes the situation more tragic is the abrupt halt to such an exciting part of life鈥檚 journey.

Shout Hallelujah and sing praises. That intermittent radio interference has been solved - at least for the time being. The electrician and his staff made the discovery, which proved to be a loose transformer wire on Main Street, and it was in that section of town where the nuisance was most pronounced.

Neepawa Community Christmas Dinner

Have you ever been alone on Christmas? Or do you know someone who is alone on Christmas? Well, the Neepawa Chicken Delight has something that will make your Christmas a little less lonely. Every year the Chicken Delight restaurant in Neepawa hosts a community dinner on Christmas Day from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. with a meal delivery available within Neepawa. Jean Blatt, manager at Chicken Delight, has been running this program for 15-16 years with help from Genie Barnaby, with the HAND organization, to help provide the transportation. If you need a ride to the Christmas dinner you can book one through the HAND office before December 21.
