Lofamia: 鈥業t鈥檚 something I will never forget鈥

On June 1, Paula Lofamia, of Neepawa, returned from a month-long volunteer trip to Madagascar. She left on April 27 and spent four weeks as an OR nurse with a Christian organization called Mercy Ships.

Back in February of 2014, I wrote an article for the Neepawa Press about the 1950 Neepawa Tigers and how they were one of the first little league teams in Canada. Vince Leah had formed a league in Winnipeg and a few 水果视频 towns had established teams, Neepawa being one of them. There were teams in Brandon, Dauphin, Roblin, Gilbert Plains and Grandview as well. Interesting, seeing as Wikipedia says little league came into Canada in 1951, but had no record of 水果视频 ever having a little league.

It鈥檚 been a long-standing tradition for the Hazel M. Kellington School (HMK) Grade 5 students to visit the seniors at the Neepawa care home and this year was no exception. There was, however, a change in the way the kids interacted with the residents this year.
