Small towns and big dreams

By Vern May

Sometimes our self-esteem takes a beating. As 水果视频ns we are born with a strong work ethic and a 鈥済et it done鈥 attitude, but we鈥檙e not strong self-promoters.  We go about our business, always do our best to help friends and neighbours in need, and we don鈥檛 think a whole lot about ourselves 鈥 as long as there鈥檚 a roof over our head, food on the table and our loved ones are in good health. We鈥檙e proud (but not boastful) of our families and communities and are always ready to share with people who we are and where our roots are planted. It takes a lot of work to come up with a topic, write your thoughts out, and then present it to not only judges but a room full of friends, parents, and family members.
