Minnedosa Drama Club is presenting a British comedy of mistaken identity, witty dialogue and slapstick humour this November. The play will be presented as a dinner theatre on Nov. 28 and 29 and a "no frills" night on Nov 27. This is the club鈥檚 third foray into comedy theatre; the club intends to keep on nurturing new actors and putting on two shows a year.
Under the direction of the talented Mary Dalton, amateur talent flourishes. Rehearsals and set building are well underway in the newly-acquired space on the second floor of Minnedosa鈥檚 town hall. Tickets sales are brisk but still available from Peggy (call 204-867-2113). Charley's Aunt has a cast of 10 and includes Brittany MacDonald (formerly of Rivers) and other actors from the Westman area.

Featuring spokes-pup Toby, a lovable Chesapeake Bay retriever, and Toby鈥檚 鈥渟ide-kick,鈥� international motivational speaker and best-selling author Charmaine Hammond, Team Toby is gearing up to inspire schools, communities and individuals with messages of kindness, workplace respect and community resilience. They will be presenting at Rivers Elementary School on Oct. 28 at 9 a.m.
