One of these days, I hope to visit the Canadian Museum for Human Rights in Winnipeg.
I have driven by the museum dozens of times. It will be nice to finally go inside and spend a few hours looking at the different exhibits, gaining an appreciation for the progress Canada has made in the field of human rights and being reminded of how much work we still need to do.

When my friend and I spent time in Holland, we stayed several days in Groningen. Our accommodation was a lovely old hotel in the heart of the city 鈥 Miss Blanche 鈥 kitchen, living room, bedroom, water closet and bathroom. Walking distance to almost everywhere.
As we paused for a coffee at the train station, Marie struck up a conversation with a well kept, articulate woman.

Today, Canada Day is a great day to be a Canadian. People who were born here may not appreciate Canada as much as or in the same way as someone who moved here. Canada, for all its faults, is a really good place to live. We need to 鈥渟tand on guard鈥 for Canada as it may continue to grow even greater.
