Faithfully yours - We cannot use him as a poster boy

In last week鈥檚 column, I shared my belief that in recent years, the Christian church has put more emphasis on Jesus as the Son of God than we do on Jesus as God the Son. I also shared my belief that one of the reasons we do this is because it makes it easier to humanize and politicize Jesus.

Volkswagen鈥檚 fear and failures

Three months have passed since we learned the truth of VW's diesel engines creating harmful emissions and destroying the environment. For the past three months, dealerships have been working hard, offering gifts of goodwill to keep customers happy. From the actual manufacturer, however, it has been three months of silence 鈥 there has been no recalls or fixes offered to customers.

My perspective - Rating freedom

Freedom isn't something the average 水果视频n thinks about an awful lot. We live in Canada, a free country, with three levels of democratically elected governments.  We have the freedom to live and work wherever we want to. We have rights and freedoms guaranteed by our constitution and protected by our courts.

The words 鈥渓ove your neighbor鈥 keep coming back to me this week. It is December and the banquets, parties and concerts are filling the days on the calendars. I see the love of my children who live far away and would like so much to help their Mom. They were here this week and cooked and accommodated us in many ways.
