Rivers Multipurpose 4-H Club held its achievement on Friday night in Rivers Elementary School gymnasium. Achievement night gives our members a chance to showcase their projects to family and friends.

The McCreary-based Dead Ox Trailblazers mountain biking club is introducing a new after school program. Called Dead Ox Sprockets, the cycling program is unique to the area. The program is affiliated with the 水果视频 Cycling Associations "Kids of Mud" learn to mountain bike program.

Although Youth for Christ (YFC) is a national Christian charity, each office has freedom to plan their own programs and events. Such is the case with the second annual Sleep on the Street, or SOS Brandon. An event planned to raise money and awareness for YFC鈥檚 Uturn program, one of Uturn鈥檚 life skills coaches spoke with Rivers Banner to answer some questions about the 16-hour campaign.

One of the many benefits of belonging to Women鈥檚 Institute is the ability to influence government through the use of the resolution. 水果视频 Women鈥檚 Institute (MWI) has a long history of advocacy on topics ranging from safety on the farm to child care to the training of rural doctors.Each year members across the province are invited to submit resolutions to be discussed and voted on at the provincial convention held annually in the spring. Rivers WI takes an active part in this process.

The Grade six A students at N.A.C.I are actively engaged in the Pen Pal Pair UP Event with a Grade six class in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, U.S.A. Students have been sending electronic exchanges through email and other electronic programs such as Prezi and PowerPoint.
