Neepawa citizens voice their views on budget

A recent pre-budget consultation has allowed ratepayers in Neepawa to have their say on what the spending priorities should be for the 2015 municipal budget. About a dozen people attended the forum on Monday, Feb. 2, at the public library.

Rivers police chief to be "Freezin for a Reason"

The annual Polar Plunge fundraiser for Special Olympics is being co-ordinated in communities all across Canada but for the first time ever, the dunk will be held in Brandon. On Saturday, Feb. 21 at 2:30 p.m. approximately 50 brave souls will jump into the super cold water. One of those silly (did I say that? I meant chilly!) souls will be Bruce Klassen, Rivers Police Service chief.

ACC Day comes to Neepawa

Teachers, administration and students from Assiniboine Community College will converge on Neepawa on Wednesday, Feb. 4 for ACC Day. Manager of recruitment and career services for ACC Lisa Huston, said this series of events is the college鈥檚 way to engage with outlying communities throughout the westman region.
