Thanks to some successful events last year, the Neepawa and District Chamber of Commerce annual general meeting, held last week, was cause for optimism. Held over the lunch hour last Thursday, about 23 people attended the meeting to hear about the organization鈥檚 activities in 2014 as well as plans for the upcoming year.

Loyal viewers of WCG-TV Rivers Channel 12 will know that Brandon鈥檚 Super League curling games are aired every Wednesday evening at 8:30 p.m. That league ended for another season on Jan. 25 (be sure to tune in again next October for the 2015-16 season), but curling is not yet completed. Our fibre connection with the head office in Brandon allows us to air live coverage of this year鈥檚 Safeway Championship Curling (as well as many other live events). Those who subscribe to television services in Rivers through Westman Communications Group will be able to watch some great curling from the comfort of their own home!

Cystic fibrosis (CF) is the most common fatal genetic disease affecting Canadian children and young adults. There is no cure.

Several years ago, the provincial government realized the need for more tradespeople, as many young people were opting for a different career path. It鈥檚 estimated that there will be a need for 15,000 to 20,000 tradespeople in the province of 水果视频 in the next few years as the existing tradespeople are aging and retiring. Due to this, the high school apprenticeship program was introduced as an important component of preparing students interested for a future in the trades.

Neepawa is a very fortunate community鈥攚e have several recreational organisations and a number of different culture and arts opportunities available for people of all ages. Several of these are hosted by the Viscount Cultural Council, including the Whitemud Comedy Company.
