The Neepawa Rotary Club of Neepawa #5550 met on Apr. 26 for their annual Paul Harris Banquet. Paul Harris Fellow pins and certificates were awarded to a number of volunteers and members.

Out of Helen's Kitchen - Rosemary

Rosemary is one of my favorite herbs. I grow it in my garden every year and if I chop onions I remove the onion smell from my hands by running them through a stem of rosemary. Ancient Greek students wore rosemary garlands in their hair to improve memory. Placed under your pillow it is said to prevent bad dreams. For centuries it was used in wedding bouquets as it is a symbol of fidelity, love and friendship. My favorite use for it is in soups and stews.

Alguire Bros. have purchased the Foerster Block on Mountain Avenue and the store premises have been rented to John A. Brodie, of Brandon, who will start up a second hand furniture store and repair shop. The building is to be remodelled later to make room for more office space.
