Right in the centre - Governments could learn from newspapers

The news out this past week that Ë®¹ûÊÓƵ’s credit rating has slipped should be an additional warning to our government that spending is out of control. PC Ë®¹ûÊÓƵ leader Brian Pallister has been saying for months, if not years, that the Ë®¹ûÊÓƵ NDP don’t have an income problem, they have a spending problem.

In all that I harbour a secret – there are items in my home, on the shelves or tucked in cupboards that I am reluctant to part with. I wash them, I dust them and never re-arrange them. Three of the items have no history, with me.

Not so silent E - Either lend a hand or get over it!

Much like the local reaction to the Canada Day celebrations in Neepawa, Eoin Devereux finds himself conflicted on his opinion toward the lack of festivities. Every year on July 1, we as a nation take the time to celebrate being more than just America’s hat. (For the record, I prefer to believe that USA is in fact Canada’s pants, but that’s a discussion for another day.) There are displays of patriotism across the country, commemorating the day the Queen said it was okay for us to exist. These events range in size and grandeur, from the massive to humble…Then of course there is what Neepawa did.
