Right in the centre - Let's save some and lives

I was talking to a couple of business people and we were chatting about ways we could save money, time and effort, especially in terms of policing and bureaucracy costs. The topic of the day was gun ownership. The federal government has been throwing money down the sewer pipe for decades now pretending that Canada needs gun control. We don鈥檛 need gun control, we need criminal control.

Just about everybody has filed their tax returns by now and people should be disappointed. Whether your income tax bill was a few hundred, a few thousand or many thousands of dollars, you have good reason to be disappointed. The federal government is wasting tax dollars, yours and mine.

The Town of Neepawa has a problem and it鈥檚 pretty obvious what it is. The streets and roads are in terrible shape. So terrible that they are dangerous and causing severe damage to cars and trucks alike.

Right in the centre - Local is essential

It seems the ultimate goal of business corporations is to dominate the world, or at least their home country. I have written recently about the dreadful downside of big corporations effect on the newspaper industry. This week, I want to address some history and how corporations swallowed and then spit out many newspapers.  I also want to show how that trend is affecting other part sf our local communities.

As spring bursts forth with bright, sunny days and fast running creeks, it鈥檚 easier to become optimistic. That is in spite of all the problems we face. There is no doubt we have problems and some pretty big ones. Be it worldly in nature or personal, there are always problems.
