Today, from the phone in my pocket, I can do lots of things. I can pay bills, order food or watch videos. I can track my own health through any number of health apps, but what I can鈥檛 do is use it to access my actual health data. In such a data-driven world, this seems entirely out of place. But maybe not for long.

Most everybody wants economic development. Most everyone wants it to happen in a sustainable fashion. I say most everyone as there is a growing number of people who don鈥檛 want any progress or sustainable development at all. They fight every step toward a progressing economy. Our society is increasingly hampered by a parade of chronic complainers and protesters.

When I travel through the mountains in British Columbia, I am always impressed and in awe about the strength and majesty of the rugged edges. In some places, they needed to use dynamite to blast through some of the rocky parts of the mountains to build a new highway. They are rightly called the Rocky Mountains and a very solid foundation.
