Any given week, when you open the paper, you will see the same thing– help wanted ads.  Some weeks there are lots, some weeks there are less, but every week, local businesses are looking to hire staff to help them meet today’s needs and grow for tomorrow’s.

Right in the centre - Hard decisions

Ë®¹ûÊÓƵ’s relatively new Progressive Conservative government has only been in office for a little over 100 days. They are being criticized for not moving fast enough on some of their promises like an Emergency Room strategy and cutting costs to reduce the deficit. It’s a bit early to start criticizing but it’s certainly not too early to examine some of the roadblocks the conservatives face. Let’s see what they are.

It’s wonderful to live in a town with young people (some older too) who seem happy to assist us older grandmas crossing the street, or struggling in and out of stores with our walkers.

I was getting caught up on the list of jobs I wanted to do. Washing the venetian blinds that hang in the garage was high on the list; they are one of the first things I see whenever I come home. I had successfully removed one and brought it in to soak in the tub. I casually leaned over and turned on the hot water tap. Only to have it come right off!

This past week, we encountered some severe thunderstorms, especially in the southern part of the province. Thunder and lightening just rolled along the sky.
