Mike and Naomi Waddell have revived a part of Brandon history, with the purchase of News In A Minute.Recently the owner of News In A Minute, Robert ‘Bob’ Ferguson, passed away at which point the 28-year-old publication ceased to exist.

The tender process has begun for the expansion of the Beautiful Plains Medical Clinic in Neepawa. On Friday, Mar. 9, the Neepawa Area Development Corporation (NADCO) held an on-site meeting with general contractors.

Snowmobile accident claims a life

An accident some nine miles southeast of Rivers claimed the life of Marty Ramsey of Oak River. Police officers, fire department members and fellow snowmobilers met on Sunday, Mar. 11 at 5:00 p.m. at the scene of the very unhappy event.

Last November, Riverdale Municipality held an informational meeting to hear from ratepayers their questions and concerns regarding a new police services bylaw council proposed. More than 75 people attended that public hearing, so council set 117 chairs in Rivers Legion Hall for a follow-up meeting on Feb. 27; only 16 people plus council and WCG-TV/newspaper reporters attended.
