M. Baronie has provided another bus for the convenience of his customers to and from railway stations. It is quite an outstanding vehicle, bright orange in colour and it has a good seating capacity.

Summer program kicks off at Yellowhead

The Yellowhead Centre (YHC) has launched a new summer drop-in program. The project, which is aimed at teaching youngsters a variety of sports and activities, will formally begin in early July, though it will kick off with a sign up evening scheduled for June 23 at 6:30 pm at the YHC.  Parents will have the opportunity to fill out consent forms and pay the $25 fee for their children to attend the activity days.

Last July, the Gerrard family began converting their Tru Hardware/Castle Building Centre store to a 水果视频 Hardware Building Centre. With the conversion now complete, dealer-owners Michelle and Darryl Gerrard invited the business community to a sneak peek at the store, as they hosted a Neepawa Chamber of Commerce Business After 5 event. The evening鈥檚 festivities included a ribbon cutting as well as speeches from local dignitaries and 水果视频 Hardware representatives, who welcomed them to the 1,067 store family. The following day, shoppers from near and far descended on the store to take in their three day, grand opening sale.

Council Clips - June 16, 2016

Riverdale Municipality, May 3: Wetlands Centre of Excellence has asked for assistance in joining the two large pools to create a more sustainable wetland; the matter will be discussed with public works to see if our equipment is able to provide this service. Council will partner with Rivers Train Station Restoration Committee to develop a  labyrinth and RV Park at NW 23-12 21W, west of Willow Drive.

Area students learn about human rights issues

On June 3, the Gay Straight Alliance (GSA) group of Erickson Collegiate Institute (ECI) hosted a Human Rights Conference for Grades 9 to 12. Students from six different schools, including ECI, Elton, MCI, Neepawa, Rivers and Rossburn, took part in an educational and inspirational day of presentations and discussions on some of the human rights issues facing Canadian youth today.
