Since 2000, Victoria鈥檚 Quilts Canada has been distributing handmade quilts to provide physical and spiritual comfort to cancer patients and survivors. Local resident William (Bill) Mabon (centre) recently received a quilt from Victoria鈥檚 Quilts Canada Neepawa chapter members Marg VanBuskirk (left) and Audrey Heffell (right). Mabon鈥檚 wife Maggie says that the quilt is a perfect size and is soft and lightweight.  鈥淲e wanted to express our appreciation to Victoria鈥檚 Quilts and each and every person who had a hand in sewing the quilt,鈥 said Maggie, continuing, 鈥淚t鈥檚 such a blessing, it reassures us that there are a lot of kind and loving people in the world.鈥 Neepawa is the only 水果视频 branch of the national charity and last year, they made over 78 quilts.
