On a mild winter afternoon Friday, March 6, people gathered at Kenton United Church for World Day of Prayer. The service was written by the Bahamas WDP Committee and was titled Do You Know What I Have Done To You? The event was hosted by the ladies auxiliary.

Work continues at this time to clear thirteen rail cars from a C.N. train that went off the tracks just north of Carberry on Wednesday night.

Legion news - Branch No. 75. - Mar. 12

The March 9 meeting of Rivers Legion was called to order by president Darryl Childerhose; 13 members were present. He welcomed our guest, Zone Commander Champigny, from Oak Lake. He also gave thanks to Jessie Bell for her recent interview with him and her excellent article in Rivers Banner about the roof project.

YWCA Women of Distinction nominees

These women who come from within the Banner distribution area are nominees for the 2015 Women of Distinction Awards Gala. This annual event, in its 28th year, is being held on March 12, at the U.C.T. Pavilion, Keystone Centre, Brandon. There are an additional 15 nominees who come from Brandon and the Westman and Parkland areas.

Nomination meeting to take place Saturday

On Saturday, March 14, the nomination meeting will take place to select the PC Party of 水果视频 candidate for the Agassiz constituency. The meeting will take place at the Yellowhead Hall in Neepawa.
