Players in the Gladstone Minor Hockey program received some very special instruction on Monday, Dec. 8, as several members of the Brandon Wheat Kings took to the ice with them.

Hundreds see Santa in Rivers

Temperatures reaching single digits on Saturday, Dec. 6 are credited for filled streets in Rivers during the Santa Claus parade, an annual event sponsored by Rivers and District Chamber of Commerce. More than 20 floats left Rivers Elementary School and passed by the hospital and some senior lodges before reaching the downtown district.

Last weekend, a talented cast from Arden performed Eddie McPherson鈥檚 The One That Got Away. This dinner theatre production was performed by the Arden Theatre Group and staged at the Arden Community Centre.

Bamboo Garden reopens

Last Sunday, the Bamboo Garden Restaurant in Neepawa reopened under new management. Vanessa Dieng and her husband Jason have operated a restaurant in Grandview for the last four years. Jason will continue to operate that restaurant.
