Right in the centre -Time to re-evaluate

Pierre Poilievre won the leadership contest in overwhelming fashion. He won 330 of the 338 seats across Canada. He won 70 per cent of the popular vote. His outstanding win shows that the Conservative party of Canada is very much ready for a change in how we do government.

am moved to write about the fact that in five of my hospital stays over the last few years, I was very sick. Not to be overly dramatic, but left untreated in those five visits, I might not be here to write this column. I feel it鈥檚 important to share my thoughts on life and death. As I noted last week, Christine and I spent the best part of three weeks in the United States. We visited a lot of towns, truck stops, a famous race horse farm, a bourbon distillery, a presidential museum and the site of Jessie James鈥檚 first daylight bank robbery. One of the key events of our trip was the International Society of Weekly Newspaper Editors conference in Lexington, Kentucky.
