The Gladstone and District Chamber of Commerce continued a tradition of honouring their finest on May 20 at their annual general meeting. The meeting and banquet featured a Citizen of the Year Award, a Community Builder Award and a special presentation to past members who have retired from business.

As the Town of Neepawa enters a period of change, council candidate Darryl Gerrard is looking for a seat at the council table in order to help shape that future. A business owner and farm machinery salesman, Gerrard is also hoping to bring a business owner鈥檚 perspective to Neepawa council.

Concern for community prompts Waddell to run for Neepawa Council

Long-time area resident and Neepawa Banner co-owner Christine Waddell says that the democratic process and a love for the community prompted her to run in next month鈥檚 byelection. Waddell is one of three candidates vying for the empty seat at the Neepawa council table.

Short, long term repairs planned for Main Street in Neepawa

Improvements are on the way for sections of Main Street in Neepawa. Earlier this month, Mayor Adrian de Groot, as well as members of council and town administration, met with representatives from 水果视频 Infrastructure and Transportation (MIT). The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the portion of Provincial Highway 16 (PTH 16) which runs through Neepawa.

Not what Ford intended

Ken Kilmury moved to Rivers in June 2013 and that move included his truck. While Ford decaled the back fenders as a 4x4 off-road vehicle, they likely didn鈥檛 mean for the 52-year-old to drive it into Lake Wahtopanah on Tuesday evening, May 19. The vehicle was located by a diver, who connected the winch cable before it was pulled out by ABC Auto Service & Towing.
